Biotech
Technology based on biology and nature will be one of the most exciting and high growth areas in the coming years. Enzymes, which are chemicals produced by organisms, or "bugs", have replaced traditional processes in applications like garment and fabric processing, alcohol production, paper bleaching and de-inking, effluent treatment, and leather production thus making these processes "greener". Some enzymes used in animal feeds improve nutrient absorption and reduce pollution. Chembond supplies enzymes for all these applications and plans to break ground in newer ones in the years ahead.
Product Range
Animal Health
At one time, the world could afford to give the health of animals only second thought. Today and tomorrow, it is a critical part of a healthy planet. Especially, since, India is an agricultural country, animal heath care is of utmost importance. Chembond offers specialty feed supplements for livestock, poultry and companion animals to improve their health, productivity and profitability.
Distilery
Alcohol production is a mature industry with potable alcohol being produced by conventional fermentation process. The choice of raw material differs from region to region, but generally, alcohol is made from carbohydrate containing agricultural product like grain, potato, sugarcane, molasses and fruits. With the increased emphasis on reduction of greenhouse gases, alcohol is now also mandated for blending in fuels. Enzymes play a major role in improving the efficiency of the fermentation process resulting in higher yields, reduced waste and lower raw material costs.
Textile
Textile processing has been a major industry in India. Enzymes are now in for good. These enzymes give major environmental benefits like reduced water quantity for processes, less water used hence lesser toll on Effluent treatment. Also the effluent generated contains simple molecular end-products which do not need very sophisticated downstream processing treatments. Owing to all these benefits the process becomes cost-effective.
From the processing point of view the results a very specific due to specific action of enzymes, lesser number of washings required hence the processing time is also reduced.
All in all the use of enzymes in Textile industry will distinctly be expedient in the years to come.
WW Division of Biotech:
It is well known and documented that microbes (Bacteria, Fungi and Yeast), have the ability to degrade hazardous organic contaminants or convert hazardous inorganic contaminants to environmentally less toxic or nontoxic compounds of safe levels in soils, subsurface materials, water, sludges, and residues by producing different types of enzymes, a process known as bioremediation . By exploiting their diverse potency, we have been successful in isolating and enriching these special microbial cultures and blending it into a formulation that could be used to address the problems of BOD, COD and Ammonical Nitrogen in waste water treatment.
Our company has a well managed culture bank and ready to use biocultures that could be applied for Bioremediation and Bioaugmentation in waste water treatment.
We have two sets of products developed.
a) Standard Bioaugmentartion Products:
b) Customised Products:
KeMBac – HC is a unique blend of aerobic and facultative anaerobic bacteria specially selected for their enhanced ability to produce the enzymes needed to degrade the complex organics commonly present in the industrial effluents with high COD. KeMBac-HC could be applied for reactivation and maintenance of Industrial ETP/sewage treatment plants and oxidation lagoons as well.
KemBac–RA contains a special blend of selected, adapted consortium of microorganisms that could be applied to degrade Triazole based compounds, solvents and other hydrocarbons from municipal and industrial waste water treatment systems thereby, reducing the effects of toxic shock loading.
KemBac – R is a unique blend of aerobic and facultative anaerobic bacteria adapted to degrade waste water containing high organic salts like Ammonium Acetates, thereby reducing the COD by about 70%. KemBac-R could be applied to pesticide manufacturing units generating effluents having high concentration of organic salts.
KeMBac DN35 is a special combination of naturally occurring bacteria that removes Ammonical Nitrogen and nitrates from Pigment manufacturing effluents. The strains of bacteria in the blend, work together to biologically remove nitrates through reductive enzymatic pathway.
